5 Tips for Increasing Instagram Engagement/Experience

I've been on Instagram for close to 6 years. I can't even count how many times Instagram engagement has been the topic of conversation between myself and fellow photographers. So I've put together 5 tips and key points that I feel have been at the top of the discussions. These aren't necessarily the absolute 5 best, so I would love to hear in the comments below if you think something else tops any of these. This is not about gaining followers. These tips are for gaining real friendships through this app, ones you can share actual real life experiences with. 

1. Be Creative & Unique with your work 

I mean... come on. This is my number one from the get-go. If you want to set yourself apart, then you must create new and fresh content that no one else is.

4. Be consistent 

5. Get off your phone and meet up with IG friends
